Boomers needed a shooter on to hold lead

That's got to be the worst coaching effort In international basket ball .
10 points up and we go with no shooters on the court.
4 fouls against Brookof , goulding sitting on the bench and coach doesn't try to put game out of reach.
Always going to loose if you don't use the personnel you have on the bench.

Funny.. when lemanis coached the breakers, they played with heart and hustle. The complete opposite with the boomers, Slow and lazy with no flow... Baynes was the only player playing at full tilt although he needs to keep his emotions in check sometimes. Very dissapointed.

Yes instead of going with what has worked for them most of the game get a player that has been sitting on the bench the entire game. That is like Miami Heat last year being up by 10 and the coach going "Look Lebron I know this is game 7 of the NBA finals but you just missed a couple of shots we are going to have to put in Toney Douglas instead"

What ultimately lost it for them was shooting 10-19 at the foul line.

Also it is "lose" not "loose"

So your saying we have no no3 on the court and we don't look like getting to the boards . so just throw away the lead.
Don't be a loooooser .king

Boti said "In the end it wasn't tactics so much as the basics of basketball — converting free throws — which led to Australia’s undoing.
Brad Newley hit just 1-of-5, with Aron Baynes and Joe Ingles both 1-of-3 in a team tally of 10-of-19.
Baynes missed a bonus free throw with 8:17 left, Newley missed two with 5:55 to go and Baynes another with 2:01 remaining, all of them huge in the context of a one-point loss.
Who gives a shit about the chumps on the bench. Make your free throws.

When you think about it, who on that team comes in with a Defense first mentality though. I really cant think of anyone except gibson...

Need a defense first guard and big and we would be a different team. I guess bogut would be that addition

Delly is D first as well. Bogut would've been the corresponding big.

You can say the Boomers should do this, need this type of player, need to do this better etc.

At the end of the day, they missed FT's.

Yes they probably made other mistakes, but converting FTs is something you can control.

It's such a fine line between win and lose at this level. Had the Boomers made two more FTs, they would be in good shape to be in the final four. The margin for error is about the size of a bee's genitalia.

Boomers need a brain to learn how to tank properly and be calm at the crunch, 10/19 FG argh
