Position Vacant - Junior Coaching Director

Woodville District Basketball Club Inc. (WDBC) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Basketball Coach to lead the development of the club's junior program.

The Woodville Warriors compete in Basketball South Australia’s district competitions in juniors and seniors with recent state championship success in the U12 boys program, national junior championship qualification in the U14 boys and a CABL men’s championship. Woodville caters for basketball of all ages (U10-Seniors), both male and female and all abilities, with a focus in elite development pathways to state, national and international level basketball.

In the role of Junior Coaching Director you will:
- Assist with player & coach recruitment and the setting up of player & coach recruitment channels
- Assist with player & coach selections and movement
- Lead the development of Coaches at Woodville
- Ensure there is consistency in coaching across the program and through each developmental stage
- Create and maintain strong links between WDBC and the state’s NITP

We are seeking an individual that will possess the following skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High level of leadership and accountability
- Ability to think strategically and work autonomously and as part of a team
- High level of understanding in the game of Basketball
- Ability to interact positively with people of all ages

The appointed candidate will need to complete a National Police check, Play by the Rules online training and any other necessary checks and registrations to be able to coach within state and private schools.

Desired, but not essential, the person would have an ABN and therefore could work on a sub-contract basis and will have completed Level 2 Basketball Specific NCAS course.
