Rumours are circulating of John Calipari (UK Coach) visiting NZ to sign 16year old kiwi prospect Tai Wynard to play NCAA for the University of Kentucky.
This could be the next Kiwi in the NBA.
Saw it on an NBA draft site and got real pumped at the possibility. If he gets a full scholarship It'd be amazing for NZ basketball's exposure. I'd show committing the basketball can you places.

Steven Adam's former College Coach at Pitt, Jamie Dixon is in NZ to watch Tai's final high school practice to check him out first hand.
According to stuff.co.nz, he's also had visits from St Mary's & the University of Hawaii (Isaac Fotu's school) and then had interest from Kentucky, Wake Forrest, Texas, Utah & Villanova.
Breakers assistant coach & academy coach Judd Flavell has been assisting Tai & his family with the NCAA eligibility rules etc and his mother also played College ball in the States so they are making well informed decisions with his future & NCAA eligibility in mind.
