Not sure if the person writing these did a proper review?

Kristi Harrower hasn't announced her retirement.

Kayla Pederson is playing in Italy.

Thanks for taking the time to do the write ups, but the Bendigo report says Harrower (retired) but then refers to her in the Verdict section as if she is playing.

Sorry but you might want to check your facts on danenong roster

"Back Again: Kayla Pedersen, Alice Kunek, Lauren Scherf, Alison Downie, Clare Papavs, Aimie Clydesdale, Chloe Bibby"

Kayla pedersen , Alison Downie, and Claire Papavas are not returning, Chloe Bibby was not in team last year but did suit up one game Rachel Antoniadou was in team last year and is again this year, plus the other import Annalise Pickrel a 6.3 American college grad , check their website the new team roster is on their, no Bibby either on team list.

Another reason not to bother with that silly Pick and Roll website. Poorly researched and full of errors. And what's with this constant spamming? Smacks of desperation.

Who ever dean zardo is he didn't do his homework at all, liz Cambage has a ruptured Achilles, she will not be back at all this season. Wish they would check their facts before putting to print

#702 I completely agree! Every single thread on here has a link to their article... Some of us here want to discuss hoops, not be directed to their pathetic site that can't even report correctly..

^ clown. Clearly say Liz is out with her Achilles injury.

Clown^ it also says this

The return of WNBA star import Monica Wright will do plenty to offset any early kinks in the side, however how far the team can go depends on whether Cambage returns or who the Rangers sign as her replacement. Without her, an early playoffs exit is looking far more likely than a championship.

Prediction: 5-6th

Cambage will be clearly out for the whole season a ruptured Achilles will not have her back on the CRT in under a year !!!! Think it's called "common sense " working that out

And if he really did his homework he would know that Kunek AND Wright are both recovering from surgery and are still some weeks out. If your going to be a reporter make sure at least your facts are so we here near the truth!!!

There are some mistakes although it is pretty much the only wnbl related content for the upcoming season out right now so its not copy and paste stuff.

I'd be happy for some forum posters to write up their own previews as I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season.

Spring Shield is on this weekend in Bendigo, with most big names either out with injury or just getting back from Worlds, I don't think it will really give much insight into how the season will pan out.
Maybe some reporting on that event might be of interest as Im sure some of the younger up and coming future stars of the WNBL will be hitting the crts to fill the voids.

Always happy to take on constructive criticism.

I will pass on some of the constructive feedback to the author(s) for their consideration.

We are only trying to boost the profile of hoops in Australia, including the WNBL which very few sites even contemplate covering.

We have a small team of volunteer writers, and thankfully we have been lucky enough to have enough people put their hand up to help boost the coverage of the WNBL this season (along with the NBL).

If you would like to help out or provide some feedback, please drop us a line via our site.

Perhaps make sure your info is up to date before putting it up. Quite easy to check team websites for news and current rosters

That's good feedback and is already being discussed and shared with the rest of the team. Life is made harder when the WNBL website is not up to date and there is no 2014/15 media guide up yet...

In the meantime, we now have a preview of the Melbourne Boomers.

WNBL 2014/15 Season Preview: Melbourne Boomers

The Boomers lose Poppens but pick up the likes of Burton.

Agree the wnbl site is no place for up to date info unless it's a news feature, but each team has it's own website which usually is up dated before wnbl site., and not through the wnbl links either go straight to club site. Both bendigo and dandenong have their updated

Melbourne are missing a good centre. Thought burton would be a better pf.

Cole
Allen
Jarry
Thompson
Burton

Looks to be there starting 5.

Or they might go small..
Cole, madgen, Allen, jarry, burton.

It's going to be an interesting season that's for sure. Melbourne might wish for some size later on in the season like Dandy did come finals but they should have enough there to shake things up.

Bendigo look good once again, the Rangers will put themselves out, Townsville will be even more keen for victory and the rest of the league won't exactly be pushovers. The Boomers have their work cut out, but with the best coach in the league and a young core willing to learn.. Man the sky is the limit!

I wouldn't totally write rangers off, think they will struggle at the beginning of season to get some rhythm going, but they still have standout players without Cambage playing.
Boomers I think might just surprise everyone again, they have a smart coach and players who really want to play, townsville will be strong again so too bendigo , think this will still be your top four, then once finals begin it's who ever is peaking and still managing without injury that will make it to final two.

I think with Jackson and Cambage out, the competition evens up. Townsville have Baktovich and Francis but as the years have shown competiveness follows Suzy but not championships (there is no I in Team). For mine Bendigo still would be favorites to win with the best balanced roster.

Those young bigs for dandenong will get crucified with some of the experienced bigs in the league, especially Bibby who is not only young inexperienced but also too short for the 5 position at this level. They will rely heavily on their guards this season by the looks things .
But great for the future seeing so many young ones in one team as along with these three their is Clydesdale who's only 21, Teneya Philips 20 and the young guard Racheal Antoniadou who at 17 is undoubtedly another rising star, Dandenong may struggle a bit this season in some games but think they have a very bright future as all those young ones are home grown rangers, great effort by Dandenongs junior program to be able to develop players to this level.
And quite a coop to get Cappie Pondexter, just made the season a little more interesting.

Townsville made a run in the finals last year - can they go one step further in 2014/15 and take out the title?

Cayla Francis is a big signing and Kate Gaze could have an impact too.
