Excellent stuff. Shows what every club needs to be doing. And if they don't have local resources, hire whoever the Hawks have to get material like that to use in their local market. Share, copy, steal, whatever. Get everyone doing something of this calibre.
And it used just one actual game play moment. They'd have even better material in other videos that focused more on the games themselves.
Hawks contacted me on Twitter to say the video is by Relativity: http://www.relativity.com.au/

So good! Like Isaac mentioned, a couple more in game plays would have made it even better!

I am not apart of the "business" so dont know how viable it would be but surely each club who isn't prepared or in the position to pay for youtube production has a local university or tafe with a media program that would love to get access to do stuff like this for free?

Try again...
Loved the way the mascot slapped that plastic croc on the court, very funny.
Short and worth the watch, well done Hawks, continue to raise the bar.

I'd say better than the one the 'Cats put out. Would love to see every club put one out, really something that needs to be done!

52 seconds of vision of crowd and cheerleaders shenanigans and 3.2 seconds of in game play - why the discrepancy?

aside from not a lot of on-court video, how GOOD does the Hawks game night look, the performance, the fireworks, the player entry ... pretty amazing event event even excluding the basketball :)

Not a hawks fan- but hats off to them for the initiative and the good production! all other teams should take notice!

What are other clubs doing as far as video goes?
you'll probably only see what your team is doing so i'd love to hear about them

This video is called "Game one entertainment"
It is designed to highlight the gameday environment i suspect....
Maybe thats why there isn't alot of game footage ;)

Sydney

I give Sydney an 8 out of 10 and the Hawks a 9.5 out of 10. Great start, great stuff, keep building on it people and hopefully the other clubs will get on board too!

So come to the game and see everything but basketball?

I don't think you can compare the kings one to the hawks one.
kings looks like a single camera and a lot of wobble by an amateur
hawks looks like multi professional cameras and some slick editing
kings had a performer in centre court no lighting no fx, quite basic
hawks had a performer, stage, fire, lighting, smoke ... pretty legit entertainment

The real question is, why haven't the Wildcats re-implemented darkened lighting for the starting 5 announcements yet?

My guess is TV requires the lights to be on when they're broadcasting. They moved Wilbur's entrance from post-warmups to mid-warmups, and dropped it completely for the grand final (which had longer pre-game segments on TV).
