Flames Improvement

I have watched the Flames play a few times this season. Was at the game on Friday night and was really pleasantly surprised by the improvement. They are looking like a skilful, well coached, well balanced team. Both games this round they have got the job done without all the hype. I think they might push Bendigo and Townsville in the next few weeks...

They're certainly exceeded my expectations. Good on them and West Coast too!

It's great to see virtually all teams in the NBL and WNBL legitimately competing for the win on a nightly basis - the 36ers' recent blowout and Hawks' record, notwithstanding.

Looks like no easy games in WNBL this year. Every game either side is a chance. Really loving the league as the standard is so high.

Every week a final. Already getting that way for Dandenoeg after another loss today. The rangers are 2 from 8 so they need to start putting wins together pretty quick to finish 12 from 22 or better to make the finals.

Actually on the table Sydney, Townsville, and Bendigo are a cut above the rest but still early enough for this to change. The next 3 or 4 weeks will answer many questions. The flames have Bendigo (rd8), Townsville (rd9), and again Bendigo (rd10) coming up. Should be very interesting and will go a long way in determining if they are genuine contenders...

Amazing how the spending of $$$ and the collection of talent does nothing to help Dandenong. On paper they are the best team in it and yet they splutter and stutter their way forward...

Given the level of talent at their disposal and what they are paying their players compared to other teams, their start to the season is an absolute indictment on the coaching staff. What a complete joke.

Yeah, a star team always beats a team of stars and all that...

The Flames have a different best player every round.

Rangers have not had the preseason training the rest of the league have had due to all the injuries and changes so in their defence ,that's got something to do with their performances, add that to the lack of a good quality big and that's another nail in coffin for them, then To top it off they have a coach who won't use his bench to rest his star players, so it's going to be a very very long season for this team.

What #502896 said.

Bendigo proved it the last two years.
