This atrocious attempt at some sort of social media/engagement linked to voting is appalling.

It is clueless social marketing at it's worst.

BA also do it at Nationals - they should get rid of it and understand how to properly market to and engage with the basketball community.

Please don't support it, the genuine kids hate it and a popularity contest is not helpful amongst teens.

Someone disgruntled that theirs did not win a vote.....

I think most people are smart enough to know that's just what it is. However, it's a fun way to promote the players involved and the athletes have a genuine laugh about it.

There is no negative in it only positives. Get involved in the fun people!

36 points and 22 rebounds to wins game and enter into the finals is hardly a popularity contest. In this case the star leader for this round in a tight game. Look at the ASC website and you will see the talent from SA are deserving of their nominations which come from BA based on the days results. The voting is based on those who are following the competition. All people are doing is informing those that are not aware of the ASC due to poor information from BSA in general that these championships are on and worth following our players from SA. It is supportive and showing pride in our youth. if you choose to make this an opportunity to make a political dig then you are completely mistaken about the intent behind informing people of the current success of players from many clubs at many schools from our state.

Your assumptions are completely wrong. I do not represent BSA and players are happy that some are aware and showing support.

It's a tired, sad, pathetic popularity contest. I guess Family Feud must rate highly in SA?

SA bad coaching in the last minutes today! Better coach and SA basketball would have had their first Aus champions for a long time!

BigV and co. Stop being old fuddy duddies.

Fun, light hearted and great promotion of the game. People see it for what it is. Just a bit of fun and smart social media promotion.

It is completely misguided. Anybody with any clues would undertstand that this is sold people attempting to have social engagement with young people. No idea!
