Suggestions for the NBL

Well done to the NBL on taking Isaac's idea on board about using GIF's on their twitter page to showcase highlights. Post your thoughts to give the NBL some new, fresh ideas to improve our beloved league. Here are some of mine:
- Improved Website -
• No dead links
• Easy to understand layout
• Mobile version

- Give site such as ATF.com and pickandroll.com access to all highlights -
The NBA's highlights are available to almost everyone and website such as ESPN and Bleacher Report produce really good content to showcase the NBA.

They can't update until after January 15th as this is the deadline for teams to have their final proposals submitted.

Geezus can we stop it with these threads. It;s been done to death. Everyone's got a solution for what ails the NBL. It's like groundhog day - the same shit, just a different day...better players, 48 minute games, more active social media, marketing campaigns, better officiating, more $, generate revenue, better website, better tv coverage, better NBLTV, the NBL struggles in Townsville, but wait Perth have it right because they get crowds, it will be better next season, Brisbane will be in, second Melbourne team will be in, second Melbourne team can't get the money together, what about Tasmanian team blah blah blah blah blah blah.

I think these threads are good as they can make a positive change (as we've seen in the past couple of days) but when a thread about minor changes turns in to suggestions about relegation leagues, signing Allen Iverson, or moving the competition back to line up with the third week of the winter solstice, then it makes me wonder why people criticise the NBL for not staying on track when the people that try and involve themselves in the discussion can't do that either.

TV on Free to air...even if they practically have to give the rights away for free to get on either 7/9/10 in primetime over the summer Big Bash style.

It might hurt for the first season but the extra eyes balls help long term...it could be a risk but the league cant get sit on its hands and accept the current arrangement moving forward

no guarantee Brisbane is in - new TV deal supposed to be by the end of this month but cloud over Bris & Crocs may delay that and the 15-16 schedule being released

The league should stop with the Brisbane bid immediately. It seems to be pissing Boti off too much and we can't have that.

If we stopped everything that pissed Boti off, all we'd be left with is Ken Cole coaching a bunch of 50 year olds

One of the major reasons that Brisbane were being allowed in is TV audience. The stupid NBL before and currently have lost the plot. There is no one in Brisbane that cares about the NBL there. Yet the NBL will go ahead for some reason funded by the NBL to achieve a meaningless TV coverage that may happen that the most of Oz don't care about.
