Free Throw Foundation Feb 2015 Funding

More opportunity for basketballers in South Australia!

The Free Throw Foundation is delighted to announce today the release of its 3rd round of funding to the SA Basketball community through its "Assist Program".

“The Assist Program has been designed as part of our overall strategy to help young people stay in our sport of basketball and to date we have given back thousands's of dollars in funding to help these young players stay in the game.” Free Throw Foundation Chairman David Spear said today.

“This is the third round of funding we have had and the Board is very proud of where we have got to so far. The funds are a direct result of our events and fundraising activities so far, our wonderful sponsors, with funds going directly back into the basketball community” Spear said.

The Free Throw Foundation plan to have another round of funding in June 2015 and have a number of fundraising activities planned for early 2015 including a luncheon with new Basketball Australia CEO Anthony Moore.

“We will follow a strict process of good corporate governance in the review of applicants to ensure we get the right outcomes.” Spear said.
