Basketball in the newspaper
A few basketball-related things made the Messenger (maybe Dale Clarke and I are the only ones who read it?) in my area this week. Last week there was a story about the Unley council getting stroppy with BASA over financials with regard to the Wayville loan.
This week the stories were more positive. Residents have complained about noise from courts near Unley High School (on the laneway connecting Cross Rd and Kitchener/Tutt). So Mitcham Council is having new rings placed within UHS for after-hours use. Not too bad given that some of the other rings in the area are a bit poor (MPS has a crap outdoor court, St Josephs gets annoyed if you use theirs).
Dale Clarke penned a little piece about Forestville beating South. And there was also something about Brad Newley from Lower Mitcham (or more realistically, Townsville!) suiting for the Crocs, along with a picture of him playing for his NBL team.
While we're talking hoops press, there's an article in today's paper about Farley being excited to return and also something about the ABL Finals
