SA Premier League club spending

With the start of the season upon us how much of juniors fees are directed at maintaining a premier league competition and more interestingly how much is being paid to players.

Yu can't believe everything you hear but some clubs are spending a lot more than the presidents' handshake agreement. Surely this undermines the quality of the competition between clubs who have and those that haven't

IMO most people want a tangible return for their $ - if a % goes toward the senior programme and the seniors put back in (clinics, coaching, buddy / mentoring) no problem at all.

So yes the clubs with a lot of junior teams will be better off as far as the principles applied above - i.e. more teams more $.
But that may not be the only driving factor for success at a senior level. Consider - opportunities, culture, future direction, reputation etc all as factors that should influence the success of any program.

and if you have any qualms or conspiracy theories DO something about it.

volunteer your time for changes to the way your Club operates that suit your sensibilities

there's a thousand different ways to carve up a pie..get involved instead of pot shots from afar

If you really think Premier League players get paid at all, let alone a lot of money, get onto your club's committee and examine the financial statements.

Top Premier league players would be lucky to crack $500 - $1000 a season maybe some other perks but not much.

Which club's coach said you can't be competitive if you spned at salary cap and recommended to the person he was speaking to to go back to the club's committee and ask for more money!!
