Boomers vs Tall Blacks

I know Bogut, Mills, Delly etc have expressed interest but who is actually going to play in this series?

I know Ingles pulled out and Simmons is unavailable and wanted to know your guys thoughts on who else may/may not play?

Delly/exum
Mills/Goulding
Broekhoff/newley/blanchfield
Motum/bairstow
Bogut/baynes

And 1 other... Jawai or Anderson possibly, only for Oceanias.

On sale, yes. Sold out, no.
Just checked and there are plenty of good seats still available.

I like it too. That's an actual possibility to occur, which would be the most delicious Boomers lineup ever assembled.

Bogut & Motum V Adams & Fotu..

I'd argue NZ has the better front line!

You'd argue NZ has the better frontline? Well, maybe, until you get to the bench lol.

If Australia's best and NZ's best play, it is comical to think that NZ can better anything the Boomers can offer at this point in time. Key is on getting the best player son court together at the same time.

Tall Blacks will have a slight psychological edge because none of their dads ever got posterised by an Andrew Gaze dunk

I don't think the talent gap is that huge between the best 8 or so players in the Tall Blacks' rotation and whatever squad the Boomers put together. The gap in the overall depth of the talent pool the two sides can draw upon is pretty big, but that doesn't really matter in a two game series between two teams of 12 players.

You don't think there is that much gap between NZ's best 8 and 6 NBA players

NZ have no chance? They fared just as well as Australia against Turkey and Lithuania in the WC without their best player Steven Adams

"You'd argue NZ has the better frontline? Well, maybe, until you get to the bench lol."
Mika Vukona and either Alex Pledger/Rob Lowe aren't respectable? lol

"You don't think there is that much gap between NZ's best 8 and 6 NBA players"

So Ingles playing in a different league all of a sudden makes him so much better or "scary" to play against, Boomers have had NBA players for years, get them all on court together for an Oceania qualifier and then call me.....

"Nz have no chance"

That's what they said about Angola and then....................

Please not Andersen. The guy is beyond terrible. I don't know how anyone who actually watched the world championships would want him in the team.

Bogut/Baynes/Jawai
Bairstow/Motum
Broekhoff/Newley
Mills/Goulding
Delly/Exum/Gibson

Should be the team. Best team we can field without Simmons and Ingles i think.

I look at the Tall Blacks line up, and wonder where they are going to get points from. It could only be from Webster or Kirk Penny. If Kirk doesn't play, that will be a big load on Corey's shoulders.

I think with a lock down defender - Maybe even Mitch Creek - on either one, the Tall Blacks ability to score consistently would be dramatically hampered.

And yes, I do think there is a large gulf between our 6 NBA players, and NZ's best 8 players. The only player NZ has which we don't have a direct and better equivalent to is probably Kirk Penney. But then again, NZ do not have a Patty Mills.

We have a taller, much more skilled squad. I expect Aus to sweep the series, but NZ will make it interesting for 3 quarters.

Motum and Goulding are the only two you could call 'scorers' in that bunch... and Goulding has been ice cold!!

I'd say Broekhoff is a better scorer than Goulding and Motum. He's definitely a better shooter.
