Is 3 year $32m deal from pacers for Ellis a bit light?

Seems that way to me

Even more of a frenzy now.

Shumpert talking with other teams, can't reach deal with Cavs.
Llull passes on Rockets opportunity.
Suns nab Chandler for four years.
Lakers supposedly botched Aldridge meeting.
Amir Johnson to Boston.
Draymond and Warriors fail to reach a deal.
Carroll to Toronto.
Spurs trade Splitter to Atlanta, but keep Green.
Dunleavy and Butler to stay with Bulls; Dragic with Miami.
Monta Ellis firming with Indiana.
Monroe meeting with Portland.
Magic are gunning for Millsap.
Lillard to get a big extension with Blazers.

Surely the chandler trade means mavs are a lock for Jordan

As for lakers, Aldridge camp is saying those reports are not true and lakers still very much in the mix. Not sure they want him as apparently Randle has been training lights out. Jordan is a better option for lakers but as above I think Dallas may have him.

Lakers can't pick up anyone. Who would have thought. 3 great young players, plenty of cap room, playing at a storied franchise and the potential to earn crazy dollars off the court. Just don't understand????

Millsap staying at Hawks 3 year $59m.
Interesting that millsap left 1 year and $20m on the table with the magic. Clearly they're not in the mix in the east.

How can Cavs afford their players? Max contracts to Lebron, Irving and Love. Thompson 5 years $80m, not bad for a 8 point 8 rebound player that cannot shoot or protect the rim. Surely they'll be over the cap?

Celts picked up Amir Johnson 2 year $24m

Pierce signs with clips 3 years $10m

Lillard 5 year $120m stay Blazers

Wright 3 years $18m to Grizzlies

Happy with Carroll at the Raptors. Exactly the player they needed at the SF. A great defender who'll make the extra pass on offense as well as hit the open shot.

Now we just need a starting quality PF and we might be able to win a playoff round.

Shumpert staying with Cavs too.

I think the Cavs got LeBron on board with a promise to spend never-before-seen money on the roster to guarantee a dynasty, and the Warriors winning would only increase the pressure on the front office.

LA will go to the spurs, makes perfect sense if he wants to win. Not going to win at the lakers over the next year or two with their average side.

Lakers should have gone Okafor as if they don't get a big FA as they probably expected they will be very average. They had the PG position covered with clarkson and kobe but now they have russell. Im sure Philly would trade okafor for russell.

Draymond Green will stay with the Warriors. Crucial piece for them.

Splitter gone, Baynes I would think would be getting a better deal that his qualifying offer. He had a better season this year, struggled during playoffs. But was just as good a splitter. Didn't they do the same for Mills?

Is mills a goner with green resigning and the spurs still pursuing Aldridge? Haven't done the numbers but with Splitter splitting surely they need to unload some more cash before Aldridge and then looking after Timmy and Ginobli? I'm sure there will be plenty of interested teams about, Mavs without Ellis now would be a great fit. Surely a couple of second rounders and it's goodbye Patty.

Now Sacramento have joined the party and sent salary to Philadelphia. Problem is who would want to sigh with them.

Think Spurs can do Aldrige now. Great starting five in San An

Parker
Green
Leonard
Aldrige
Duncan

Lakers taking Russell isn't a bad pick he will do well and it's a guard heavy west. Have to think past this year too. Getting Okafor doesn't get you good defense or a rim protector.

Jordan will probably stay at clips or head to mavs so who does that leave? Lopez (Robin)!!! Koufos!!!

Monroe seems set to join Knicks so he's out of the picture.

Do the lakers try adding Lopez and Harris to fill the two positions they need giving them stating line up of

Russell
Bryant
Harris
Randle
Lopez

Rockets, Mavs aren't out of it for LA, and Suns starting to gather momentum. Lakers basically no chance, Spurs front runners

All the indications are that LaMarcus will end up a Spur, further evidenced by SA shifting Splitters horrible contract.

Think Baynes will be re-signed, but there's not much chatter about this.

Interestingly Portland are hoping to replace LMA with Greg Monroe.

Monroe to the bucks for the max, interesting fit for a young team. If they click, look out. Probably the youngest talented team in east.

Now that Baynes is a Piston, should be a green light for Aldridge to be a Spur...

Unless Aldridge is worried they don't have a centre.

Lakers have been granted a second LMA meeting after screwing up the first one.

I am thinking the start with Duncan at centre, so Aldridge gets plenty of space to work in and that will suit him. Would be a strong starting line up...

Apparently the first meeting was all about Lakers off court when LA wants to know basketball. That's what second meeting is for.

Still think Spurs would be front runner surely

I think as Bear and Isaac have said that Duncan will start at C with LMA working short corner and elbow.

Had also heard the rumour that LA made a mess of the LMA visit.

Spurs could be good with

Parker
Green
Leonard
Aldridge
Duncan

and then just put pieces around this group.

The spurs use their post players interchangeably within their motion/flow offense. I think it would make more of a difference which position Aldridge plays offensively in more set play/high P&R dominant systems.

Timmy is certainly capable of defending opposing Cs. My worry is who their backup center will be. Diaw? Ayres?

David West is eyeing off the Spurs and Warriors in hope of winning a title.
