NBL Futura trading cards

Who remembers these ? I was going through an old treasure chest and dug out an old trading card folder. Got so many inserts. Found a complete set of "Lord of the Rings", "Head 2 Heads" amongst others. Some really awesome nostalgia. One of the best ones I've got are the Leroy Loggins/Andrew Gaze 10000 pt and Ricky Grace - Best of both worlds redemption cards.

Would love to see these kick off again sometime.

I used to have complete sets of all the NBL cards back then, including all the auto's, redemptions & sub-sets.
Sold them & got enough money for a deposit for my house, part of me wishes I still had them though.

Some of the redemption cards were fetching good dollars back in the day.

Train, sold everything to a sporting collector & got very good $$$, prob a little more than what most were willing to pay. Being a collector I guess he took a gamble that prices would rise.

Just to put things in perspective, I'm 52yrs old. House & land packages were around $80,000-$150,000 but interest rates were through the roof, sometimes higher than 18%. When I brought I only needed $2000 deposit, very different times back then.
