Will there be a new NBL website coming?

Surely this will be part of the branding campaign? The website is tired looking and has a very poor statistics section.

Anyone got the word if it is coming? To be honest I would've expected that their website and general online presence would be one of the first items that they could address.

NBL executive director Larry Kestelman is working towards giving the league a new name and a much-improved digital presence, which will include NBA, NBL and international basketball coverage to encourage fans of overseas basketball to increase their interest in the local competition.
Kestelman has engaged Publicis Mojo to create new branding for the Australian league, which he wants ready to release before the new season begins in October.
The NBL has purchased the domain names basketball.com.au and basketball.co.nz along with nbl.net.au, nbl.org.au and bball.com.au with the league working to build a new website for the basketball.com.au and a new league website.

This is smart. This is similar to the cricket.com.au website I suspect

"The NBL hasn't kept up with what fans expect from a major sports league in terms of digital engagement and online presence," Mr Kestelman said.

"Since the 1990s, there has been a huge shift in how people engage with sports and participate in sports entertainment, and for basketball we are aiming to exceed everyone's expectations in terms of what the fans can access through digital channels."

Hail hail Larry!

So refreshing to have someone running the show with basic commercial acumen and the resources to implement a vision. Of course, we're yet to see that implementation but it sounds like it is progressing.

Where are the Kestleman haters? Kind of hard to hate a man who is going to give you what you want.

Don't claim victory too early, but certainly what he's looking to do is promising.

Are you 12, GWB?

THE "hate" isn't because of the changes and improvements he will make to the league. Its because of the massive conflict of interest, which was what the previous board was constantly criticised for. His ideas are nothing new, he just has the money to fund them. That's great for the league but the fans are ignorant to the problems that WILL occur because of his positions.
