He sounds like an upgrade on Joyce/White from last season so that's a win. He'll be playing being Childress/Thornton so won't be asked to do a lot.

The three-peat kings had a pretty good lineups and some pretty special imports (along with a bevy of boomers and a pretty good coach).

Earlier Violet Crumble versions of the Kings teams had some pretty good lineups on paper and were pretty spectacular to watch.

Big call to be making calling them the best ever lineup before we even see them together on court. What if they fail to make the finals (which is possible, despite how good they look on paper)?

I was overseas that year so I never saw them play, but wasn't the 2003/04 Kings roster quite decent?

Matthew Nielsen (MVP and GF MVP)
Chris Carrawell
Ebi Ere
C. J. Bruton
Jason Smith
David Barlow
Brett Wheeler
David Stiff
Bradley Sheridan
Luke Martin
B. J. Carter
Graeme Dann
Adrian Bauk
Joe Brown

Isaac, the 2002-3 roster was probably not as deep but was pretty good also:

Chris Williams (MVP, league leading scorer, second leading rebounder (12.1 rpg), 4.3 apg, one of the best imports this century)
Kavossy Franklin
Matt Neilson (MVP the next year)
David Stiff (Rings baby)
Shane Heal
Ben Melmeth
Gary Boodnikoff (Rookie of the year)
Brad Sheridan
Travis Lane
Michael Kingma (Wookie of the year)
BJ Carter

Great starting five there. Those teams perhaps did not look as good on paper at the time (certainly weren't predicted by many to win it all that first year), but in hindsight were pretty impressive.
