Might Brad Newley return to the NBL next season?

Brad Newley is a free agent at seasons end and after a long stint in Europe it could be time for him to come home. At 30 years old do you think that Brad could be back in Adelaide next season? The lure of playing for Joey and with Gibbo along with DJ and Creek would be great. What do you guys think?

Joey & Gibbo are both out of contract at the end of the season and Creek can opt out too.

Personally I'm not sure Newley would be such a big coup now.

Joey and Gibbo highly unlikley to return, Joey more so. Newely has always said he would be fond of playing for the 36ers and if they are run right have a half decent roster and for the right price this could be a great time to do so...

You hear things is all. Think if Brisbane are in the mix for a team next season, both of them will jump ship quicm smart. Gibbo signed a 1 year deal, and Joey doesnt love Adelaide compared to Qld from all accounts. But dont know them persoanlly, if I did, probably wouldnt post my opinion at all!

Fair enough, haven't heard anything about Joey not liking SA. Surely after everything he's built here and the success he has had he'd wanna stick around.

Gibbo opted out of an option and signed on a 1 year deal for numerous reasons not so he can join a potential Brisbane bid. Gibbo loves playing for Joey and doesnt want to play for just anyone (especially after Clarke) so he signed a 1 year deal to align with Joeys deal, he will then wait to see who will be coach next season and beyond before re-signing - hopefully we keep Joey and in turn Gibbo.

Gibbo is pretty loyal and most of his mates are signed in Adelaide beyond this season so I would expect him to stick around.

Gibbo is loyal to the paycheck. Gibbo was gone this year until Brisbane feel through.

This sport or any sport is not loyal to teams anymore. It is all about the best deal for them, no different to people in our jobs if a better option comes along.

There is no committed to the club stuff anymore and if so the way our club is acting there is not a lot to commit to.

Even DJ coming back wasn't loyal it is family.

Teys probably only one showing loyalty, got married to a girl in Qld but signed 3 years with us.

every club goes through these challenges, we are nothing special.

A fans love is different to a player or coaches job.

Let me answer this with a question and hopefully it gets a response or two...

If Newley returned would that be a hindrance or the one thing that takes Creek's game to the next level.

Would Creek be warming the bench all the time or would he learn from Newley in what it takes to be a superstar?
