United v Taipans, Oct 24

An undefeated United hosts the snakes.

A lock away win for the Melburnians? or will the snakes slither away with a road win?

It's the second game this round for both teams with Melbourne having two home games this round and Cairns with the Southern States Swing.

Surely those pesky bloo baggers can't go 5-0? I think they will.......

My prediction is it will be close. United by 6 or 7 as the Snakes bring desperation.

Or an upset is quite possible tonight.

I'm not going to write off anyone either.
Well, ok maybe just one team. Cairns.
United will take care of business very comfortably.

Melb's best 5 could match a lot of quality international teams and/or beat them:

Holt
Goulding
Blanchfield
Warrick
Kickert

Geez that's nice.

Okay, game started with possibly the worst refereeing decision I have seen for quite a while. Ref warns Cairns for in the key a split second before the ball is delivered, the guy catches it and scores as quickly as he can, but ref says it is 3 seconds and waives it.

Then the ref has the gall to say he was warned, OMG is the superman and can fly out of the key in a split second as the pass comes in and return to catch it?

I hope this isn't a prelude to stupid and unrealistic officiating, what a moron!

Weigh is a shooter but in a way with his conversion rate he kind of isn't. If you know what I mean?

Imagine what stats Holt would put up on a less talented team.

Dude could let be a 20ppg type easily.

Whoops. He is already averaging 16ppg. He could put up 25ppg on a Crocs team with 30, 40 point displays.

United run good offense all night then in the last 2 minutes they resort to Goulding isolations.

Can't for the life of me understand why teams don't just run their normal offense in the crunch. Surely if its worked you may as well keep doing it.

Goulding, for all his skill and excitement, still takes some stupidly deep 3s and poor shots..gets a bit too hyped. He is an incredible scorer though. Have never seenan Aussie scorer like him - Mills is great but doesn't have the extent of moves as Goulding.

30 FTs to 11 LOLOLOL

I don't know whats worse...

The quality of play, or the atrocious refereeing.

United gave up way too many O boards.

I don't expect Cairns to make top 4, so in my mind United are yet to face a real challenge. Ie a top 4 team at full strength. Or a top 4 team on the road.
