Well shit how bad is the Warrick injury! I thought it was a niggle... this sucks from a league point of view.

As a pure back up to fill a role he'll be ok not a straight up replacement thou but he is in town working out so right place right time and a good athlete!

Apparently if they put him on injury waivers its for a minimum of 3 weeks. Why would you risk him considering there great start to the season.

If it's w a hammy tgst is 4 weeks depending on grade of tear so makes sense to manage him with a record like united currently have it afford you some breathing space

Ahh ok panicked a bit! Not a bad move if its a 4 week thing, they are so deep this is the time of year to be strategic especially if this other guy is in town.

Why not give a development player an opportunity for a few weeks? It's not like they're short on firepower at the moment.

Wilson they trying to win games it's a pro league if the dev players deserved a shot they would have got one.

I understand that, but it's not like it's TSV with Conklin (their only decent player) being injured, it's undefeated MEL with a bench player (granted a special one) being injured for a few weeks. It's good experience for a dev player, what happens if a player gets injured just before playoffs, they'll need to step up then when the pressure is on. There's little pressure at the moment so a good time to learn. Unless the coach has a KPI on going undefeated in the season.

Just think it isn't on NBL teams to devlop guys if in this case you can get a replacement.

Also the pressure isn't on now but drop both games this week and your right back in the pack rather than 6-1 or 7-0 which might allow you to give a devlop player spot mins in a week or to

solid baller in college last year. Another ex Gael joins the nbl after kickert, simpson, mills, young, allan, steindl, holt, walker. Wouldn't mind seeing Samhan next he was a beast in college or even Mickey Mcconnell

People don't rate Saint Mary's very highly. Only about ten NBL players, two boomers, and a couple of NBA players out of their the last six years or so. Nothing to see there.

Plenty of NBL players have come from SEABL over the years- Redhage, Rob Brown and Troy Devries amongst the best.

Jackson put up good numbers in SEABL and won player of the week a couple of times. He *should* be a solid contributor off the bench for United, at a minimum.

I like the idea of developing young guys but at the end of the day, it's a pro league and they’re trying to win games. And they’ve replaced an import with an import so it’s like for like. Plenty of young Aussies are getting a run for United this season. They’d probably be the youngest team in the comp other than Townsville.

I think the thing about jackson that another tassie import makes the nbl....funny that!
