Can you win a title with an offence reliant on CG43?

The guy looks amazing when on but ultimately he is chucking up some very low percentage stuff. That can't be relied upon over the course of a season and playoff series, can it?

If he had the plays and screens that nz have set up for Webster. Then yes he'd be dropping 30 a night. A lot of the bad shots he threw up tonight were late in the shot clock and passed to him to get out of a tough spot certain players have gotten themselves into.

But Webster is a better pick and roll ball handler so he is suited to those plays.

Anon, so then the easy fix should be that he should run the offence.

Webster still gets a lot of his looks from the offence. The benefit is that at least if he isn't open/can't get a good shot, because he is still running the offence the second and third options (Abercrombie) etc still get great looks

Goulding completely operates out of the parameters of the offence so if it goes pear shape he has to throw something up.

No excuses for Goulding. He needs to sort it out. Run the offence, pass the ball and get rid of the iso stuff.

Too much iso, look how that has worked for Melo and Iverson.

In the NBL with a stacked roster around him, the answer is definitely yes.

He won't want to have too many more 4th quarters like had v Townsville though.

I guess a big question is does Dave Barlow return this season and get back to full fitness and most importantly; does Barlow make a difference?

Yes they are good enough to win and if they get Majok looks then they are better like they did with Perth. Majok sounds limited in his ability but Charles Jackson proves you can score a lot of points when your getting chippies and dunks so make it happen and the big guy will feel better and grab more boards.

Blanchfield seems the anomaly to me in this team (I said at the start of the season that moving to United won't make him a break out star) and it feels like Blanchfield is proving he'd be good for the Boomers as a role player but he isn't kicking arse like he would if he stayed up in Townsville... Some game he feels absolutely forgotten about until the last quarter. Not sure modeling your fans on Gibson and being a glue guy is what Todd should be doing... If Blanchfiekd plays well then United win
