Goulding is on that list, looking to get out of Melbourne after they made him comeback from Europe especially if they get knocked out.

who is McCarthy?

Why is it that people immediately spring to naming everyone they can think of that was born in QLD. This isn't New Zealand!

Why would Jawai have any interest in playing in Brisbane?
(Other than how much money they are offering.)

Mostly this is going to be determined by how much money they have to spend, and their approach to fan-building.
Will they concentrate on trying to build a core, and build fan-loyalty, or will they go full-throttle trying to buy a championship?

Jawai has interest in making it back to east aus for his young daughter also has good relationship with andrej. He will use him correctly in like Trevor

I believe Steindl grew up in Brisbane.

Unfortunately Townsville will likely be replaced by Brisbane.

Wouldn't mind seeing Rhys Martin get the nod as a starting PG somewhere he deserves it.

I'm just thinking why sign Gibson for what he has asking when you can get a PG who is arguably better and will come in cheaper.

I would have to agree I I'd like Rhys Martin to get a staring gig,

Adam Gibson can be a top 3 PG in this league if in the right situation he would do well under a Townsville shawn Dennis situation just be a defensive specialist and facilitator rather than playing the 1 and 2 spot and being a half Arse scorer, he could easily be a 8-10 points 7-10 assist man if used correctly put them stats with what he brings definitively and he could be a key factor in a championship team if he is used right

Steindl is from Mackay.

Jawai has a terrific relationship with Andrej and from what I've heard he isn't particularly happy in Perth. Add in some good coin and Brisbane becomes an attractive option for him.

Adam Gibson will never be a top 3 point guard in the NBL. Not at this stage of his career.

Jawai, R Martin, Gibbo, Motum and Goulding are the names I've heard linked to Brisbane.

You'd imagine Jawai, Bairstow, Motum, Coenraad, Goulding, Gibson and Rhys Martin would be amongst their first-up priorities. If they can get three of them (including one of those bigs) they'll be off to a great start.

They can have jawai, jervis comes off the bench, plays the same minutes or less and plays better than the guy getting probably at least 3 times more $$

Red74- the wildcats have next to no chance of beating NZ without Jawai.

First of all guys- this is overly crazy speculation.
Do you how much money teams would have to pay for those players? Bairstow is bound for Europe if he is not re-signed in the NBA, Motum is being paid more than any NBL team can dream of aswell. No NBL team can challenge the European money-lure. Nate Jawai comes at a high price, so it is extremely unlikely you'll see Gibson, Jawai and Goulding on the same team unless the Bullets are willing to fill out the rest of their roster with over 16's. They will target players like Burston, Steindl, Pledger etc. They can only afford Gibson and Goulding or Jawai and Gibson or a combo invloving only two. The contract demands of those players make it impossible to have a stacked team without an average crowd attendance as high as the Wildcats. Bullets will average 5000. So it's likely they will sign one of those 3 and use the money to spread throughout the 9 other players and 2 imports. They'll be keen to grab Craig from the Taipans and possibly even try and overpay Cedric Jackson and pair him with Gibson. You won't see any stacked team, especially when they still have no clue how well the club will do pulling crowd numbers this year....

Oh and Newley said the only NBL team he'd play for would be the 36ers.

"especially when they still have no clue how well the club will do pulling crowd numbers this year...."

Well that doesn't make sense does it?

There's a reason there has been no Bris until now, they just aren't interested. They won't average 3500.
