Jack White commits to Duke

Great stuff but I am concerned he won't play many minutes, hence, impeding his development

Most of his development will come from Coach K and staff in training. Sure he probably won't play many minutes but 4 years in that program will see his game develop to a high level NBL or possibly Euro player.

He will play for the COE in the SEABL this season, is this correct?

Anyone who finds spending time in that quality program with all the resources they have is impeding their development isn't going to develop anywhere. Very exciting for him. If he brings something to the table he'll get to play

Great stuff for more Aussie exposure.

I'm hearing rumors from those in the know there is a South Aussie, Sudanese kid, about to make HUGE waves in the college scene soon too.

We might have 10-12 guys in the nba in 4-5 years time.

Currently 7: Bogut, ingles, exum, baynes, mills, dellavedova, bairstow.
Out next season? Bairstow, ingles.
In next season? Simmons, broekhoff.
Nba Future? Around 10 guys in current college system plus next season.

The crop of players we have coming through now is incredible, and will only improve. Basketball is a growing sport in Australia. Boomers success in the Olympics could do huge things!

The women's side is starting to struggle or plateau?
Only Wallace, smith and antoniadou in top 25 schools.
Don't think any girls coming in as freshmen are at big schools?

Many girls can go straight to WNBL back here in Oz and decide to bypass college.

A few young opals prospects in the WNBL that never went to college are.. 18-22y.o.
Wehrung, Talbot, scherf, mijovic, bunton.
I can't see many others getting a shot atm.
we do have a few 23-24 year olds though. (The present and future opals)
Lavey, Allen, jarry, kunek, cambage, etc.
