Will this squad form the basis of the Emu's squad for World Champs in 2017 or will the U.S based players (Humphries, Maker, Gak, Cherry, Kiir, Healy etc) come into contention?

Dam.. Those listed heights change by the month.

Magnay was 6'10 heading to Tulsa yet he is listed at 6'8.
Froling 203cm at u16 Oceanias and now 207cm
Colina was 205cm now 208cm
Fullarton at 197cm now 200cm
Dalton was supposedly 6'10 now at 6'8
Zunic smaller than I expected at 6ft.
Same goes for Isaac...

All heights are from the official tournament website.

One would think the CoE would form the basis of the WC side for 2017, however I would hope they select from the best available talent.

LC, Any idea why Lachlan Dent didn't make this team? Starting PG for the U17 Australian team and played very well to help us beat NZ at the recent Oceania's.

Can you please keep us up to date with games and box scores. I can't understand that German website

As far as I know, Dent is not at CoE and they picked replacements for injured/ineligible players. So I cannot answer the question.

Probably beneficial to give zunic some experience before world's.
Although, I'm not sure his spot is cemented even when attending the Coe.
A few other guys look like quality backups to dent.

We lost by 2 pts to Argentina. Kenyon had 14 points and has been Australia's best player to date.

Zunic had a chance to send the game into OT but missed a tough layup just before the buzzer.

NZ are quality so we need the U.S based players available. But thats easier said than done given colleges have proven unwilling to let them go in previous years.

Anyone know when the squad is named?

Ummm, I'm confused. How does college impact availability for u17s?

I would have thought performances at u17 words is an entree to a great college. Are you talking "Aussie" boys playing at US high schools being ineligible to represent Australia at u17 worlds? Prom night?

Maybe I don't get it though.

Great to hear about the 2 SA Boys dominating in huge win for the Aussies.

The 3rd kid is doing real well too apparently with the opportunities given and has MASSIVE potential.

Really good for SA Basketball.

Australia lost to hosts Germany 58-77, with no Aussie able to score in double figures.

Dalton and Mayen Naiboth had 9 points, Kenyon 8.

Australia next plays Greece in a chance to playoff for 5th.

This isn't au19s - it's essentially the CoE team with a few added in because of injury.
