David Andersen wins French league title

You've got to hand it to David Andersen success seems to follow him everywhere he goes bar the NBA.

A COMPELLING case can be made former Frankston junior David Andersen is Australia's most successful international male basketball player.

Triple-Olympian and most likely Rio-bound Andersen, 36 later this month, overnight produced a 10-point, four-rebound game for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne as it clinched the French league championship 80-77 from Strasbourg IG.

It means Andersen, at 213cm a stretch forward/centre, now has won titles in the Euroleague, Italy, Russia, Spain, Turkey and France.

Robert Horry won how many rings, doesn't make him a hall of famer. Especially if Anderson can pick and choose what clubs he goes to. Hardly a magnet. So overrated especially in his later years, if he was so good how come he didn't play longer in the nba, give him credit, knew he was average so cashed in over in Europe. Every Olympics or world champs gets shown up by better players.

Sure, he may not be in the NBA, however I can't see him rated as only average anon! A fair margin above average in anyone's language I would think...
