Bogut's recovery?

Does anyone know how Bogut's recovery is going?

It seems after Thursday's Pac 12 game there has been silence on everything Boomers from the media. I assume that the Boomers are not together at this point in time, with Cam Bairstow in Brisbane etc, but there has been no status update on Bogut or new details about the team.

My assumption is if Bogut leaves with the Boomers on Wednesday for South America, that he will do so intending to play. If he gets on that plane I am sure he must feel up to doing it. But with 20 days left until the games, surely they have an idea of the timeline they can tell us? Surely there would be a deadline for him to start doing full contact drills?

I am not sure what to make of the Boomers' silence, but I can't imagine him getting on the flight for no reason.

I imagine the likely scenario is that he won't know, or the team officials/medical staff, closer to the actual date. He has to still fully recover and attempt some kind of fitness training. I would put him on the team if he's only able to play 10 minutes a game at the start of the tournament, as those 10 minutes would be invaluable

It's Tuesday morning, so that's two business days since the Thursday you mentioned. What sort of recovery news are you expecting in that time frame?

As you or someone else previously posted, if he gets on the plane, you can imagine they're optimistic about his chances.

ME, I'll just ask him for you. I mean really, if he goes, it still doesn't mean anything locked in. If your looking for Intel on those boomers odds, sports bet had Canada at a shorter line to win gold than them... And they aren't even in the Olympics haha

Well just goes to show how little they know about the competition. Some of the teams they ranked above us were inaccurate as well and obviously based on World Cup results rather than the teams they're bringing to the Olympics.

I don't really rate Australia as a real gold medal chance. But I think we're in a group of about 5-6 teams fighting for Bronze (and maybe silver).
