Draft Express: Adel tops at Adidas Nations

The praise for Deng Adel's performance at Adidas Nations camp continued on Tuesday, with NBA draft site DraftExpress.com naming the Louisville wing the top college player at the event in terms of estimated wins added

On Saturday it was Deng Adel that stole the show, scoring 18-points in just 16-minutes. On Sunday he once against scored 18-points and added five rebounds.

well done, should be in boomer squad
ahead of ineffective players like
bairstow and motum.

He should be in the next Boomers squad but I don't think you can call Motum and Bairstow 'ineffective'.

I gotta say, I love hearing that another young potential Boomer is out there getting it happening. Has he already said that he has national team aspirations?

Adel has the skill sets, athleticism
and upside that bairstow and motum can only dream of. Motum and bairstow were pretty bad in Rio

Now this cat has a lot of potential, can crash the boards and run the floor and projects as a strong second or third scoring option. Lots of upside!!! BUT WHAT HE IS LISTED AS SOUTH SUDAN! He came up in Australia and SHOULD PLAY FOR US. I WILL BE MAD IF HE DOESNT!

Well he isn't going to play for South Sudan, and he probably will never reach the level needed to play for the USA. I think if he wants to play internationally, Australia is the only real option

Adel is a small forward, not a power forward. He's nothing like bairstow or motum.

Adidas Nations is a wonderful opportunity for some young talent to shine.

What I have found is that there is always a huge disparity between high school age kids and those in college who attend.

He may have shone against much younger opponents at an event like this, just saying, not that he can't play but perspective is also important.

Simmons will probably be starting sf next olympics with most likely broekhoff as backup.
Simmons being able to play multiple positions means only 1 spot is up for grabs.

1 of 6'7 Adel, 6'7 White, 6'10 bolden and 6'8 Cooks. The latter 2 being combo forwards.

Anon #288 that web site is grossly inaccurate. A tabloid at best and a forum quality opinionated source of information at worst.

He is 100% not 6'7", but he is a very talented kid who could definitely play for the Boomers one day.

Jack White is 6'5" tall with great hops and very athletic and is a small forward, not a power forward. Those are the facts, not sure why you are relying on some questionable online source like 24-7 Sports for your information, try looking elsewhere for the facts if that is what you are after.

^^ there you go - two sources that you would hope would be reliable. One lists him at 200cm, the other 198cm?

So, according to them, he's either 6'6" or not quite 6'7"

But does it really matter, for all of them?

What matters is what they can do. So sit back and watch the progress of these young guns. They'll either make it or they won't.

If they do, we'll enjoy watching their progress.
