Wow, Hawthorn's really taken some big steps forward since my day then.

Broady Boys struggling.

Bulleen being 5th is surprising. Thought they would be top 3.

"The VJBL Annual Club Rankings give a very good overview of which Clubs have depth, Consistency of Performance and an Overall Club base development methodology."

How exactly?

Doesn't this just show that some clubs are bigger than other clubs?

Clearly makes no sense at all - Sandringham are the worst women's club bar none so should be ranked last.

No teams in VC (u20s don't count) and nearly every talented kid left last year.

The top 20 VJBL programs are always going to be made up of almost entirely those big Melbourne base Associations. Geelong being the exception, then you get the next 10-15 Associations that are made up of smaller ones and the other country Associations that place teams into the VJBL.

I agree with HO, what is the point of this thread, just to list the Associations that have the biggest member base, most courts and money to attract players, big deal!

The clubs on this which surprise me are Blackburn, Camberwell and Warrandyte.
All compete with bigger associations locally.

Blackburn girls program has always been fairly weak but their boys relatively strong (still a small club), Camberwell have never seemed to produce high levels teams consistently and Warrandyte seemed to have dropped off in the last 2 years after they were getting consistent VC appearances.

Can someone in the know list all the current opal and boomer players and from which club they played at so people understand that developing players is more important than which large domestic association players are from.
