Dexter Kernich-Drew

Great to finally see him hit some 3s. That should give his confidence a boost.

I wonder if, in the future, if his confidence and game time increase, we might see him used in different ways?
Theoretically he has the ability to play as a 2/3, swingman type role. With both JJ and Prather in the team, I imagine KD was being developed as purely a SG with an outside threat. Now with Andre, that might change.

Those pair of threes he hit were nothing but net!!! He's tall and athletic enough to play SF if need be. Haven't seen enough of him to know if he has the IQ to run the PG. For this year I'd say his main purpose is to be a threat from outside the arc.

It's amazing to me that this guy gets a shot with the cats, but Gavin Field didn't. Field is far far superior offensively. And just as skinny/weak on the defensive end.

Field had his chance. IIRC his career shooting percentage is 0% with the Wildcats. Not great for someone whose role is scorer and who couldn't defend a chair

This man has talent! he's versatile and agile and should be used more on the wings. I think Gleeson needs to use him more as a corner specialist. I remember watching him last season for the Waverley Falcons and at times he looked lost out there, but give him a role and we can watch him thrive.

DKD may be skinny, but he's also athletic and has a great leap. So whilst at the mo his role seems to be to stand in the corner and bomb, there is greater potential there.
And keep in mind that realistically he's filling a DP type role, as he could only be used as a TP last year. The extended bench was probably a godsend for both he and Redhage.

Great to see him step up tonight.
Now with Ingram gone, he at least is giving us another outside option.

Probably the first young player we've had in a while they actually looks like he could be a future star

Looked reasonably good, didn't realise he's 25 though, plenty to work with there.
