Melbourne by 5, with Goulding and Ware. Blake is a liability and Cadee can be hot and cold.

I can't pick it. 2 teams capable of blowing the other off the court if they get hot. Guess I'll lean slightly to United due to home court.
Really looking forward to this one.
(extra keen due to lack of games last night. What was the go with that??)
I am really looking forward to this game, having tipped United as premier before there injury run, I believe they have to win this one or there done. The defending of Blake and Cadee could be where Melbourne try and exploit the Kings, both can defend but do get sloppy at times. Should be a great contest, Kings by one in OT.

Sydney seem to be the ones to beat this year. Melbourne this season have been like that bright kid at school who offered everything at the end of year 12 (start of the season), but in the real world when it mattered, at the 10 year reunion they were unemployed, broken marriage, fat, bald and grey.

Melbourne don't dominate at home so I'm tipping the kings in this one.
Kings by 11
Should be a great game!
Could no games last night have anything to do with the afl draft being on.
Agree with zodiac, love being able to watch all games on Nbl tv, has been great.

Newley's looking fantastic lately pretty much all season really. Happy to admit I was wrong thinking he would be a pretty good player but not a star anymore.

United's D has been top notch.
It's unfortunate that the refs seem intent on calling so much tiggy touch wood.

United looking superb early.
Wowee, cadee is stinking up Hisense
Sydney giving up open mid range jumpers to Andersen. Stellar coaching
How many chairs do united have on the bench?
Has to be the reason they are up by so much
Kings guards(cadee, blake & lisch) lack of defense is being exposed by Utd new import.

Loving Ware's efforts.
Andersen and Barlow looking comfortable.

Lol at tough man Powell. He has hair on his face but comes across like he's trying to make up for a lack of hair on his balls.

It's games like these where Gaze's inexperience on this stage comes out...
Down 10 & yet continues with the same rotation.
Maybe faith in your core is good, but sometimes a change can be a positive effect for all the players.

Niiiiiiiice LV.
Powell does often seem to try and look tougher than he really is.

Heh Powell's touchy attitude were mainly borne out of frustration. The refs certainly don't call a lot of fouls done on him. He's close to unstoppable if they call it properly but then NBL refs sometime are bush league quality with mind-boggling inconsistent calls.

Powell gets screwed over by the refs because of his big body.

Refs save all the fouls for Cadee.
He must lead the league in soft fouls called when he drives and moans in 'pain'.
I feel for the defenders EVERY time, but whatever magic he weaves to make that happen - good on him : )

Gotta say I like seeing Powell as the 5.
I'd like to see Gazey play him & Whit in the 4 & 5 together more!

Gee, I've tried nothing and run out of ideas here lads. Any suggestions on how I can turn things around?

Ditch the crap shuffle offense Gazey, ever heard of on-ball screen, double pick and roll? You've got offensive weapons standing around like garden gnomes passing the rock, WTH? :)

Yeah, mate, I've been spruiking the shuffle offense around the club all week Stevie my friend so I can't give up on it now otherwise a the lads will think I'm a bigger fraud than Heals.
Maybe a slight tweak will do the trick. Let's see how things play out in the last.

Don't worry Gazey, I'm tipping you'll win coach of the year within 3 years.
& ain't counting uz out of this one yet either!

Yeah hell of a nail-biter game. NBL is definitely as exciting as it's ever been. Kudos to the Kings for putting up a strong run, real tough championship contender material that can make home fans worry when they make their run.

Dean Demopoulos is the Ric Flair of the NBL.
You tune in because you hate him and want to see him fail. And it looks for all money like he's going to completely balls it up and lose, only to somehow magically get bailed out. But you're convinced he can't keep winning, so you keep tuning in to watch him fail. But it never happens, he somehow always gets away with it.
Advancing the ball is not optional under FIBA rules.

Well boys, we didn't quite make it but gee, you'd have to say that was some pretty good coaching to get us back in the game.
Cheers, Gazey
Ha-ha at demopolous not knowing the rules again. Having said that, his team looked well organised besides that. Exposed the kings porous defence
Newley is unreal this year. Those tough threes he hits has taken him to the next level. Seemingly always Dave's hired best for big moments too. Would have to be up there for MVP now
Red74
Years ago
Koberulz you can advance the ball after a timeout in the last two minutes of the fourth. If the opposition scores and then you request a timeout. Not after you score.
Hey Red74... its not can...you HAVE to advance the ball if you're on offence. That is Kobe's point, you dont get to choose

Can't disagree that United deserved to win that one more even though I dislike being on this side of a game winning shot... Some really poor defence from the Kings just let them out too much and then again had to fight back, which was a great effort, but shouldn't have been necessary... Sort of reassuring that we can start crap like that and still get even with 7 seconds to play and that United needed to make a huge shot to win it...
Some saying that Cadee shouldn't have given Ware too much space, but I can't really fault him... that dude is QUICK and compared to what he was shooting from outside, I think it was the smart play... Just got nailed by a big time shot...
I'm so glad that I got Newls for MVP paying $21... that guy has stepped up his game on a serious level!
