It's a shame most of the comments on this thread were lost.
Cairns looked in pretty good shape on Sunday, and the thing I was happiest about was that Fearne actually used the guys who were playing well for big minutes, rather than rotating players for the sake of player rotation, or because his watch beeped at him, telling him it was time for a substitution, or whatever it is that he usually does. OK, I admit it, he's been getting much better at this aspect of coaching. If he stops treating players like naughty children when they fail on defensive assignments, I'll be a fully fledged Fearne Fan.
Cases in point: Trice 34 mins, Weeks 4 mins; Gliddon 37 mins, McCarron 12 (not such a good comparison, because McCarron was playing well when he was subbed out for Edwin in the final quarter); Edwin 25 mins, Weigh 6 mins; Wortho 31 mins, Loughton 11; Jawai 21 mins, Egwu 16 mins.
