Breakers vs Hawks, Dec 2

This is like watching a different league compared to Brisbane vs Perth.

Run and gun. Fun to watch. Clarke lighting it up in the first.

Not sure why Hawks were $2.75

The court looks like a different league also. The mismatched colors of the court from end to end, dull lighting, other lines on one side and the terrible camera angle all make for terrible viewing.

Despite the Breakers scoring woes, they're getting nothing from the officials tonight.

My god Hawks in the bonus again. Breakers getting tagged for even the slightest contact. Breakers getting roughed up down low, nothing.

Clarke must love playing the Breakers.

If I'm Henare I'm riding the hot hand with Stockton to match Clarke.

When you grabbed someone's head instead of the ball trying to rebound, you'd know straightaway its not the ball you're handling. I reckon that's an unsportsmanlike because Coenraad didn't let go straightaway and pulled Akil down all the way.

Didn't make sense the refereeing...

It's frustrating how poor the Breakers are at drawing fouls, Abercrombie especially.

Whereas Hawks take it strong to the cup. Either bucket or FTs.

Harris didn't do much until the game was basically over.

The way it's heading, both grand finalists miss playoffs this season. How crazy is that

Interesting starting 5 for Illawarra.
White, Forman and Norton starting over Clarke, Harris and Kay.

Refs shabby tonite.

Unlike some I think refs do a great job in this league. Much better than what they used to be. But tonite they lapsed back to days gone by

Actually Coenraad over Harris. Norton has mostly started. And White was a starter last year so has been favoured in the past too. Still, Bevo at least trying different things.

IMO (& probably backed up statistically too) the Hawkies play their best when White & Norton are on court together. Gives them solid on and off ball D & Norton has that ability to attack & penetrate the key. I'd start 'em both every game!

Any stat guru out there got the +/- dif for when these two are on together?

I am not a big fan of either New Zealand or Illawarra but this turned out to be one of the better games of the season. David Stockton is a baller any day of the week, and the battle between him and Rotnei Clarke was worth every second I spent watching.

The Hawks are the deepest team in the nbl. They play with a tag team mentality which allows them to put alot of defence pressure on in the opposing teams backcourt then they bring in a Rotnei Clarke of the bench after about five min and he comes in fresh and being aggressive which is why he is back to his MVP form.He has started on the bench last four games and that has seen him return to form with four good games.
