Kings should sign Jaron Johnson

Jaron Johnson would be a perfect fit for the Kings backcourt.

Would be a perfect fit with eight games left in the regular season, but you can't stoop to Perth's level and cut Jackson after a single game.

What about the Bullets? Although they are probably in a similar boat to Perth where they'd prefer more of a ball-handling, offense-initiating guard.

Sydneys signing of Jackson and the timing of JJs release was no coincidence.

The NBL will release a statement in the coming week

If the NBL is releasing a statement, I'd say it was a failed drug test.

What else could it possibly be?

Off court indiscretions - the club would handle that.

Warrant for arrest back in the US could mean he'd have to be deported?

FIBA documents?

I'm not buying it. There's no reason for the wildcats to refer to team balance as the reason for his release if these other reasons were at play.

The reaction to his release has been overwhelmingly negative on the basis it was the wildcats choice. Why they would choose to invite this if it really wasn't makes no sense.

Seems like every time we release an import some fans want to make up stories about something foul being at play. I recall similar rumours about Ingram

No, I'm right. And when there is no announcement made by the NBL, Isaac should ban your azz for starting false, unsubstantiated rumours.

There is a difference between 'a false unsubstantiated rumour' and an informed opinion. Anon said nothing inflammatory and in fact his theory that there is more to come makes more sense than dropping a guy for the second time in a couple of months just after he started playing good ball. I assume we wait until the Boxing Day test takes the headlines before we can expect a press release. That is my opinion and not a rumour.

If the Anon is right then maybe they can actually share the reason why he's getting released.

Can you give us a hint. Is it on-court or off-court? An issue that began in Australia or something outstanding from the US?

There will be no details because it's a non story

From what I know (limited) he was released for basketball reasons alone.

They desperately need a PG and Johnson was deemed to be the most expendable, i think thats the long and the short of it

The manner in which the Cats released Johnson the second time makes it possible that there was more to the story. Usually the team would say something like wishing him the best in the future and thanking the player for their efforts, but that didnt happen this time.

The release was immediate and short on sentiment. Its possible that the NBL is in control of announcing disciplarinary sackings and not the club... should that be the case.

The NBL's social media accounts have been repeating the 'team balance' reason given by the Wildcats.
