End of NBL Season Hoops Poster Awards

Given how great this season has been and equally how entertaining the banter on here has been, can we have a End of Season Hoops Poster Awards? (ESHPA)

Fan votes on users we love and loathe.

I also think it's best to do this now while there's a lot of traffic as opposed to after the playoffs.

Suggested categories

MVP - Most Valuable Poster
- the person that contributes the most relevant and useful information

The Akil Mitchell award
- For the most one-eyed fan (sorry too soon?)

The Damian Martin award
- For the most defensive fan

Coaches Award
- The person that tries hard to contribute but isn't a superstar. Has glimpses of brilliance but overall pretty average.

The Showman Award
- Poster who brings the most entertainment with multimedia

The Flog award
- For whoever is the biggest flog

The Worthinghage Award
- For the posters that have seemingly retired and don't see much of anymore, but we'd like them to post more.

Not sure if he posts on Hoops much or at all, but Ash Baker is also very reliable with his YouTube videos of key incidents. I wish the NBL gave us more GIFs and Streamables so we could have highlights of key plays in every thread.

Too many lost retirees to mention. Wonder what happened to EC? Hope she didn't quit following the 36ers just as they got entertaining!

I actually like almost anyone who posts with a regular handle, without being antagonising or idiotic, who are clearly associated with a team (MACDUB, skull, fstos, LV, XY, KET, Rat10, GordonG, etc). It's a loss for Hoops any time one of those fades away.

paul, I think you're a good MVP candidate based on Lurker's definition.

Haha! Too many sports clubs I've been involved with have gone broke for me to get passionate about another team, in any sport. I'm like the Adam Gibson or Mark Worthington of supporters!

Tough choice for MVP. Dazz seems the obvious pick, but would he be as prolific, insightful and witty without the inspiration from 'masturbating dipshit anonytroll moron'?
So I think I'm going to have to vote for myself.

Paul is my MVP for sure. Always comes with the knowledge unbias input.

I miss The Customer, but rumour has it he's an anon these days.

Anonymous - lowest efficiency rating award.

Very Old - 1980s mindset throwback award.

The MVP should be whoever can name all the different aliases The Customer has used on various forums across the years!

I'd happily stick to a username once the anon posting stops for everyone. I can't be bothered with the idiots that sit and wait for their targets to post so they can bag them anonymously but add nothing else.

paul is the cool head amongst the impulse reactions, and very knowledgeable too. Probably a tie between him and Dazz for my favourite poster.

I find Dazz quite a versatile poster. Yes, he is very Cats-orientated. But he posts genuine topics for discussion, and I must admit I do find it entertaining when he gets fired up occasionally.

Dazzed should win the "I really don't know a lot about basketball award."

Who knows anything about basketball? How is that measured?

I watch at least 5 games a week on TV and have done so for 20 years.

I play in 2 senior teams a week in 2 different competitions and have done so for 10 years.

I think I understand the game well BUT I still interpret things very differently to many of my basketball mates and posters on this forum.

Dazzed should know the refs are micc'd up. He should know about coaches using signals and numbers for plays. Charge rules, concussion rules and the list goes on.
Starting way too many topics that aren't required.
Maybe MIP next season. Nothing this season for me.

Great idea, although I don't get how any anon' can be nominated, or is there a group award also which I am unaware of?

MVP is maybe a hard call, but I will try to add my little 2cents worth anyhow:

MVP - Most Valuable Poster
- the person that contributes the most relevant and useful information:
Isaac is a definite nomination, but being the host I am unsure if he can qualify. Paul and LC are also big providers of a fair amount of decent knowledge too, so a toss up between you two boys for me.

The Akil Mitchell award
- For the most one-eyed fan (sorry too soon?)
Um, DAZZ, obviously!
:)

The Damian Martin award
- For the most defensive fan
Ok, this has to be any one of either DAZZ, LV or Koberulz, sorry guys!

Coaches Award
- The person that tries hard to contribute but isn't a superstar. Has glimpses of brilliance but overall pretty average.
Very Old gets my vote here...

The Showman Award
- Poster who brings the most entertainment with multimedia
Luuc, you have this one for the above post if nothing else mate, but to be honest it would be a close call between you and Jack Toft.

The Flog award
- For whoever is the biggest flog
Too many nominations really, this one is too hard so I will have to think about it...

The Worthinghage Award
- For the posters that have seemingly retired and don't see much of anymore, but we'd like them to post more.
Where is my old mate and Kiwi, HO lately?

Crivelli and JVG are the same. I suspect one is hated more than the other tho. Both need to keep their hands out of player selections.
