sports visas to australia

just a question re obtaining a visa to play here in Australia, is it a special sport visa if they are coming to play for a specific team or a general visa if they are just coming to find a team? and how long do these visas last for?
cant seem to find what we are looking for on the Australian immigration pages

Many will come out on a Work & Holiday visa (subclass 417 or 462) which is valid for 12 months from time of entry. Others will seek approval for a Temporary Activity, Sports stream (Subclass 408) which requires sponsorship from an approved sponsor.
