On striking, saw something about Matt Knight being charged with striking? Trice was upset about something at one point in the final few minutes?

Knight hits Trice in the side of the head with the ball. Looks pretty intentional but I'd be surprised to see a suspension coming from that.

See the Cats-Taipans game thread. There's a video clip of the incident towards the end of the thread.
The contact is fairly minimal but the intent is there. And the intent is what matters in the first instance I believe.
Given what happened to Hire for the errant elbow, I would guess that this receives similar treatment.

So , Ogilvy found guilty of tripping , I wonder whether they will speak to ref about his eyesight...
Its not even as bad as the Ogilvy trip so he will be looking at a fine at the most.

If this was an AFL practice game it would be headline news, mentioned and spoken about for at least a week and debated by the football crazy masses!
But it is only the NBL finals series, so who gives a tripe in the main stream media about this and any of the games so far?

I understand that fines are obviously not NBA-like given the relative salaries.
But am I the only one who finds it funny that the league would issue a $375 fine. I think the minimum for a fine should be $1,000 - a small fine does look a bit amateurish but that's just my subjective view.

How about fining the refs???
Big call missed in the Ogilvy grab of the leg that swung momentum....2 shots and the ball and the outcome could be different...
Refs need to be accountable as well.

Per Roy Ward on Twitter, it's from 19 seconds remaining in the fourth.
Neither of them were in the game with 19 left in the 4th, unless that's the other incident.

If there was a fine-worthy striking incident with 19 seconds to go in game one, Knight is looking at a two-year suspension.

Just saw the end of the video above showing the baseline view.
I don't think Knight will or should get suspended, but there is no doubt in my mind he intentionally pushed the ball in his face. That's def worth a fine though, judging by Ogilvy's $375 for a rugby take down Matty Knight will get a $50 fine.
Imagine if Knight did that to outback Shaq.
