United sign development player Sam Short

United have made a huge addition to the 2017/18 roster with guard Sam Short.

Ballarat local and young up-and-comer Sam Short will officially join Melbourne United Basketball Club as a Development Player on a multi-year deal.

The exciting young talent has already pulled on the green and gold several times in his career, representing Australia in under-18s and under-19s. Most recently he represented Australia at the FIBA Oceania U18 Championships in Suva, helping his side to nab a silver medal.

Short is currently playing alongside fellow Melbourne player Craig Moller in the SEABL competition with his home side the Ballarat Miners. He is a welcomed addition to the group as the Club continues to build its list for the future.
