SEABL - Round 6

http://seabl.com.au/round-6-preview-mens/

Interesting round.

Not sure why the league went for Nuna v Melb as game of the week instead of Nuna v Mt Gambier.....

Hobart v Bendigo looks like a good game as well.

Isn't Garlepp there on only short term contract, or is he back full time.

Lewis Thomas will be a decent backup

Garlepp is on a limited contract in which I believe they weighted the first handful of games until Lewis became available but recently also extended his stay to target select games over the season to ensure he qualifies for finals.

If the Chargers make finals, Garlepp will play, they'll make sure of that

Thomas should be a great asset with the Chargers getting belted on the boards on their first double road trip last week.

Peter Hooley a huge weekend for Ballarat:

44pts, 4rbs, 4 ass

And

25pts, 3rbs, 8 ass

Wonder which NBL team will pick him up now he's back in Aus?

Is that the dude who scored a buzzer beater for Albany to win their conference to advance to NCAA tourney two seasons ago?

yes the same peter hooley. certainly a huge improvement from the 11 turnover game the other week! good on him, certainly some impressive numbers. I think he will need some consistency to get that nbl contract, hopefully he can put it together.interesting article on him on seabl page. seems relaxing more in game and enjoying it turned it around for him. interesting to note and im not surprised to hear that. I think so many players get stuck in wanting to get to the next step or get re-signed and the pressure just builds and they loose the enjoyment of the moment so to speak.

It was mentioned in the story with Hooley, very dubious calls, Hooley has a lot of potential and is already Nbl ready under a good coach.

MtG drop their 1st by 21 to the Braves. Hapless Tigers belted by 42 by NWT. Bandits drop a game to Dandy.

Watched the Supercats demolish the Blues in both games on Saturday. Well worth the drive around the bay. Did note a Really poor crowd and a lack of atmosphere at the "House of Blues".

You would hope that frankston didn't seriously consider to be competitive with the lack of depth on that roster.

And that Frankston has the worst coach in their SEABL history.

Frankston SEABL program is very young, developing side that couldn't expect to go with an experienced outfit like Geelong, not now anyway.
