Premier League Round 8

I have seen the scores on the men's side and all games were only separated by a maximum 0f 6 points.

West over Forestville is a surprise

Sturt beating Norwood - is Norwood on the slippery pole downwards - is Sturt the real deal?

And to cap it off seems like Tigers v Rockets went to double overtime. Is this a trial run for the GF.

Did anyone see this game - was it as good as it seems?

Didn't see the game but have heard Southern vs North was game of the year & would be very hard to top for that crown. Any eye witness reports?

Also who would be all star 5s if picked right now for the men?

IMO:

Deng
Starling
Drmic
Oldham
Davis

I think miller over Davis only because Davis doesn't seem to fit into a team structure too well. Seems it is the Davis show not the South show

Stats look solid without being spectacular splitting time with Dodman. Hasn't played every week not sure if that's just a case of managing his body or what.

Did catch a highlight video of Southern's import Mike Nwelue - wow what a highlight machine that guy is. Can he play to back it up?

Yep on those teams given it'd be imports easily. Maybe different if DJ, Creek & Doyle suited up as they did last year.

Import talent significantly up this year. Aussie talent down but the league is much better & more even.

Would Southern's 2016 team even make finals in 2017?

The forestville vs West Game was a classic!

The new aussie PG who has returned from college made a huge difference.
Scored 18, and let dee oldham his more natural 2/3 position.
It'll be interesting to see how west go this weekend, with a double header starting saturday against north

I would say southern from last year would be only one from last year to make it to finals this year, Creek was head and shoulders above everyone else, only thing that can stop him is asking mates to take some demerit points.

Sturt in the back end of the year with DJ & White in form were pretty tough.

Norwood with Holmes maybe - veteran group who knew how to win. Having said that, they've replaced Holmes with two imports & are struggling, so maybe not.
