Day 1 - NBL Blitz in Traralgon

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

United up 72-58 at 3QT against the Hawks.

Hey Iggy is back @ the United, good to see he's made it back from injury.

About time we got to see Iggy on the floor again!

Was obviously not a serious game, but good to see Adnam's numbers up there despite his talents being questioned in the previous Nate the Sk8 thread.

Not wanting to overreact to a pre season game although that was a great performance from United's bench unit + Goulding.

Also, FIBA's stats presentation is worlds ahead of the NBL's

That's an awful lot of fouls, 26 to 29. Hope that doesn't continue.

And the current game has 11 fouls to 16 approaching the half. 43 FTA already. Wow!!

Cairns has 8 points on 2s and 9 points on 3s and a whopping 22 points on FTs at the half

Looks like a foul fest - maybe it's good that the Blitz isn't televised!

Meh Blitz. Too early in the preseason and much better games to come, i.e. Adelaide in Singapore and the Big3 vs. NBA teams.

Does anyone know why Scoochie didn't play for Cairns?

Scoochie arrived in Aus with a slight ankle injury, and has been rehabbing it. Won't play at the Blitz. Tried playing one of the Uni games and that didn't help. He'll be okay.

If I had a dollar for everyone saying meh it's only blitz blah blah I would be a rich man.
Still good to see NBL back as AFL is winding up

If I had a dollar for everyone mentioning AFL when talking about NBL when it has nothing to do about it on this forum I'd be rich too.
