Boy. Steve Markovic. Absolutely unstoppable in his junior days

Girl. Rachel Watman (now Lisch). Toughest kid I've ever seen of either sex

"Aaron Trahair"

He was an awesome junior, he had so much potential.

Sadly he was lazy and didn't put in the hard yards (I also don't think he has ever eaten a healthy meal in his life) to become a successful pro

Ben Simmons at Knox, period.
He made entire teams look like they belonged in Regional against him.

At what age was Ben at Knox? His u16 nationals were among the best I've seen. Wigness too.

Jacob Holmes up there for best SA junior.

Andrew vlahov. could play all positions from the point guard to center.
not only against his age group but against men.
he was dominating men at 16-17years of age.
was a mean son of a bitch as well, had swagger ,athletic, inside -outside
winner.

I played a mixed scrimmage against Lauren Jackson before I knew who she was, I would guess she was around 14 at the time. Definitely knew who she was following that.

Best junior I've ever seen though is probably Matty Nielsen. I think he dropped 50 points on us in high school, although it felt like 100.

I saw both Wigness and Will McDowell-White at 14s and 16s and would give the edge in both age groups to McDowell-White. He dropped off a bit by 18s but the combination of size, shooting and playmaking in the younger age groups was incredible.

Played with Rhys carter in u/14s. He was the height he is now back then, absolute freak. The coach we had also coached trahair for vic country I believe. I remember at the time He said trahair was the best junior he had ever seen and carter was the 2nd.

Brad Robbins dominated through juniors, was a manchild.

Brad Newly at the AIS was the best ais player I ever played against.

Chris Blakemore, didn't have the height but the strength was off charts, Charles Barkley like. Defenders would just bounce of him on putback dunks, think about six five. Pity injuries derailed his nbl career.

Luke Mackay.

Flat out scorer. Absolutely destroyed Teams. Gave Anthony Stewart 50 when playing for u20 WA State Team versus a Wildcats squad (no imports or big names)

Averaged over 40 a Game in WABL in u18s. Led Nationals in Scoring in 18s and 20s too I believe.

It depends on how you define Juniors. If you consider it to be the best junior at the highest level of competition for juniors, i.e. Nationals, then it must be Patty Mills surely. The structure of National tournaments and Aus basketball doesn't necessarily facilitate high volume scoring, but Patty single-handedly carried ACT when he played, dropping 30+ easy. Perhaps there were better juniors before him but he is the one that stands out in recent memory.

Going back even further 4 time Olympian and Australian captain over many years, Phil Smyth, was a very handy junior. He once carved up the Warnambool tournament featuring a handful of Olympians and Australian players........ as a 16/17 year old!

First saw this kid at Dandenong, wasn't even the tallest and wasn't very good. Almost a decade later he was almost 7 ft and dominating at a Sandringham tryout. He's still in the NBA now...

Curtis scored a lot of points on a bad team. Fitzgerald putting up similar numbers on a national runner up would be a better recent example. But a single stand-out performance at Club Champs, when the best players in the country aren't even necessarily there, wouldn't be enough to put a name in the mix IMO. Neither of those guys have put in an actual state-level Nationals performance worth talking about.
