Under 20 Nationals

Well Nationals at business end of the week and nsw boys gone and the women could miss out on top 4 depending on tomorrows games.

Nsw boys coach and the many helpers dropped their bundle last two days and team appeared not interested in playing for him.

Definitely not the best team they could have fielded.

Where to for NSW.

Question-why did better players not trial.

Girls team definitely good quality players but made some dumb mistakes at times which hurt them(unsportsmanlike like foul 2 seconds to go against Vic's.

Player rotations during games big question mark at vital times.

Queensland doing a good job in both boys and girls teams.

Vic's could struggle in both.

Nba global academy team dropped games when word was they should go through undefeated.should ve too big and strong.

Definitely some unusual results in the women's - talent pool looks very shallow with some of the best not there.

Some highly rated/over promoted girls having some stinking tournaments.

For sure.

Magbegor with opals
No Clarke for wa.
Coe kids underperforming.

Some U16 boys in the acdemy dont seem the same level as those who played at ecc.

A bit broad there lol.

Simmons putting together a great tournament so far. Fantastic to see her back fit for the first time since worlds, and after the horrific experience she had at the COE.

Goodchilld killed the VICs, no great surprise there given the lack of D in the VIC squad and she is a quality guard.

That's it really so far. I don't buy the rest of your list - guessing your girls may be one of them.

Previous poster makes a good point about how poor the COE crew have been.

Great look by the Vic men lasntight sending videos and snap chats drinking vodka and bourbon. Nice pre game warm up for today against Queensland; how does this happen when these elite athletes are representing the state when others missed out and the pre game warm up the night before is how much can you drink. Coaches and Basketball Victoria you might want to get them to take down the pics and videos.
Maybe we can get Rodney Marsh or David Boone to Coach next year and get a solid pre season into the team before they take the court.

Queensland be ready have the bins at the end of the court some of the vic might be under the weather today.

I would think that something needs to be done about the way they are presenting their state. Who allows them even though they are over 18 to do this. This is a national tournament with some colleges attending, this needs to be dealt with disappointing for the true athletes who are their or who didn't get selected.

If the Vics win the game against Queensland then I call for a whole review and new approach to the NITP and state program. Clearly last nights bonding has helped the team ( and the local bottle shop owner). Marshy and Boone your out we don't need you, we have Jim as in Beam and Von as in Vodka who will lead us in to the final and can Coach in the following years to come.

Well it looks like it’s as case of be above 0.5 to stay alive in the nationals, Queensland you had every opportunity what the hell happened you let a team of party going drinking athletes beat you.
Vic boys cool down and stretch will be at the Central coast hotel tonight and pre game will be at the generation night club Gosford make sure your there early.

Very, very poor.

But let's not overplay the colleges angle. Very few are really here. They mainly recruit from worlds.

Soulmama reporting in super fans, in answer to the last question let me say this. When your captain you have to lead by example!!! and that may have been the case.
Let's face it they won isn’t that all that matters.

Soulmama out until the next true highlight.

Well the Vic's do it again.win both women and men's.
Nsw women get bronze after being one of the title favorites and nsw men finish 6th even with coaching staff taking up most of the bench.
Queensland finish silver for women and lose bronze medal game to WA in men after going through round undefeated.how often does that happen.
Well done WA men.

Well well it seems some players thought the soulmama expose' on their antics was humorous to say the least....
posting on your Instagram about no buckets needed at the end... in reply to my comments.
Touche’ boys, but let me say this it’s not about you it’s about what the program is designed for and what you represent. Unfortunately you damaged and tarnished the program with your pre game meal of booze. Not even Boone and Marsh would do that before a pre game final. What is more enlightening is that you went back to back ... no not winning on the court but drinking the next night.. lucky the organiser didn’t breath test pre game. Anyway you won GO VICS.. but at what cost, when funding for basketball is so hard to get from people along with some selections that miss out due to the "chosen ones" it seems a shame that some still take to social Media (instagram) to mock the fact that we know what you were doing, yes we put a light hearted spin on it but then you back it up and chose to mock the buckets at the end of the court comments.. (no buckets needed)
congratulations on winning but own up to your actions if you are acting like grown men then be like grown men andcop it..
well done to all teams....

Start at U18s Vic Country and educate or very least remove those that " muck up "from elite programs. Been going on for years. Can I ask what happens at COE is this behavior tolerated.

How do you expect a VICC to follow suit when the person in charge takes there coaching staff to the pub before the end of the t'ment.... and thats not U20....the whole Vic HP needs a over haul..... you've all heard the phrase "Don't be a Wally with water" maybe it should change to "Don't have a Wally at BV"
Move on.....
