Premier League Power Rankings

I thought it might be a good chance to take stock of where teams stand before Easter. Things will start to get interesting once full rosters begin playing in the next few weeks.

1. West Adelaide
Undefeated & defending premiers. Looking like they're even better than last year.

2. Southern
Benefitting from having a full lineup from day 1, have beaten undermanned or unfit teams so far.

3. Norwood
Beat a decent Woodville team & lost narrowly on Wests home court. Will be better once McGriff starts playing.

4. North Adelaide
Dismantled South but fell just short against Southern. Will be better for the run once their import stops eating pies & starts dropping dimes.

5. Woodville
Took apart a Centrals team riding high after their win over Mavs. Perry proving to be pickup of the year as far as imports go.

6. Sturt
Can write off the Southern loss being so under manned but a gutsy win over Forestville & a lot of college kids still to come back.

7. Centrals
Handled Eastern easily at Mt Barker but couldn't get a win against Woodville. Will surprise some teams this year though.

8. South
Narrowly beat Eastern at home after losing to pre season title favourites North. Some work to do - why didn't Caleb Davis play game 2?

9. Forestville
Will be vaulting up this ranking as soon as the NBL season is over. We may never have seen a better roster than what Andy has put together this season.

10. Eastern
SOS Jake Rios.

Some questions - why did so many imports not get up for game 1 (and even game 2)? Were some clubs caught out by the early start? Are Southern actually good or did they just get their team here earlier & are more prepared? Can either of last years GF teams match it with a full strength Forestville?

Heard there were visa problems for a couple. Would think this could have been organised better. Centrals player had only been in country a couple of days and got his rushed through.

Would have thought Rios would know the system by now! Is he here yet?

West got caught on Legan doing a return VISA for the first time. Got asked for more information which extended the time it took.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but 34 points is hardly "fell just short". That's a spanking. A full arm extension, paddle in hand, no holds barred spanking.

A bent over the sink, no daddy no, altar boy style spanking.
