Blanchfield looking for larger role

Article on NBL website.

If he does end up going to Illawarra, what position would he play? Assuming from the AussieHoopla FA tracker that Hawks are in negotiations to bring back all imports, where does that leave Blanchfield? Does he play at SG with Conger at the 3 spot as a starter, or does he come off the bench as a 6th man?

I'm assuming the line up will look something like:

PG - Martin/Naar
SG - Blanchfield/Clarke
SF -Conger/Hire/Coenraad
PF - Anderson/Ellis
C - Ogilvy/Johnson

I think you could quietly assume Conger won't be back he would be out of the Hawks price range now. Clarke might be a possibility though due to his familiarity with the area.

Confirmed - off to the Hawks as per their Twitter feed.

Nice pick-up, was hoping hoping he would land in Cairns.
