I was going to, as a joke, register a mate for the Wildcats Dunk Team try outs.
I saw that to register to try out you have to pay $25!
I'm not that outraged, and I'm not surprised.
Just another avenue the Wildcats use to earn money.
I think that you got turned off registering your mate as a joke highlights the purpose of the fee.

Can't trust anyone online. This is probably a Wildcats staff member who framed the story to draw out comments supporting the $25 fee. I for one am outraged

It's not a dunk contest, and even if it were why wouldn't you have to audition?
Cairns will win it this year - so much negativity ala Ubaka/Dorsey days.
