This is a weird proposition given that they played together last season and looked nothing like the best 1-2 punch in the NBA...

Houston's 3-4-5 are better than OKC 3-4-5 because Melo is part of the OKC 3.

Melo should be amnestied. Such a black hole.

This post made me want to whip out my old basketball cards and the 'dynamic duos' they used to have.

Still can't believe there was a suggestion that OKC had the best 1-2 punch... I'd take Adams over George any day... totally over rated and as for Westbrook... he plays 1on5 more than even Kobe Bryant did.

"Melo should be amnestied. Such a black hole."

Can't anymore. That was only under the old Collective.

Wish OKC could though!

Perhaps some how getting Melo to the Lakers would actually help OKC as any team with Melo isn't winning anything as history clearly shows.

Anyone else sick of every talking heads on espn saying Melo will be a hall of famer before they shoot holes in his game? The criteria for the hall of fame must be lowering as Melo hasn't won anything of consequence in the NBA and from the look was/is a poor team mate who only cares about his money

He's an absolute lock for HOF. Deserve a Kickert elbow to the face if you think differently

Winning at the NBA level isn't a pre-requisite to getting into the HOF.

Exceptional individual skill will get him through. A number of HOF inductees aren't NBA champions.

Even if winning came into it he still can rely on his Olympic golds - remember its the Basketball HOF and not the NBA HOF.

In addition to those Olympic gold medals he won an NCAA title in his only year in college. So he does get in, even though he stinks in the NBA.

Best 1-2 punch next season could be Simmons - Embiid, just saying...
