NBL Schedule

Was it just me or did the NBL hint that the schedule is being released today with their twitter post?

The season will start second weekend of October since the week before it's the conclusion of the NBLxNBA.

Then you have the two FIBA international windows during the season.

So if the regular season ends before the second international window as it did last season that gives you 18 weeks/rounds (last season it was 19) before playoffs start in March.

Perth who Adelaide are playing first up on October 11th Are playing in Denver the same day the 36ers are playing in Utah so the long travel will effect both sides.

Thursday-Sunday regularly, only one game on Saturday and 2-3 on Sunday.

Very interesting, wonder what the reasoning is behind shedding presumably the Saturday afternoon game? Conflict with Juniors?

That probably means any NBL FTA deal won't involve a Saturday afternoon game, almost definitely involves a Sunday arvo game.

Well, for the home game.

So Sixers play Kings twice in six days? Ewww.

I think Sunday afternoon is the best FTA entry point.

Personally I felt the Saturday afternoon games were weird. Historically NBL has never been played in that time and it just felt strange to me.

United have a horrible draw from a fans point of view. IMO.

Looks similar to last year where there is two big city teams playing most Saturdays and Sundays, indicating those two will again be the FTA games, but we'll find out soon enough.

I can't believe no one has mentioned it but with NZ having ten games at Spark Arena and the other four "To Be Confirmed" under venue and new ownership saying they want to take those games to other areas of NZ means NO MORE P00 BROWN COURT of the North Shore Events Centre! WOOHOO! ABOUT TIME

The 36ers play back to back home games against the Breakers just five days apart from each other not great scheduling that.

At least it's not on back to back nights.

I'm not talking about home & away but two consecutive home games here against the same opponent only five days apart from each other. I understand scheduling is difficult and what not but that's crazy. How they expect anyone to attend the second game I'll never know.
