Interesting.
Haven't followed his college career, but he won WCC PoY so must be ok.
Surprised no Aussie team had signed him, so presumably is considered too good for an NBL bench role.

Good luck to him in Europe. Team seems to have been through the wringer, maybe on the way back up?

Watched a lot of Gaels games last year and I don't think playing here would've been the best move for him. He's an old school Mark Bradtke type who's probably more suited to a league that plays a bit of a slower pace and through the posts more.

It's pretty funny how basketball circles can (deliberately) gloss over certain players - seems more and more endemic of the "entertainment" focus.

I only heard of him last week - haven't even seen his name mentioned on social media etc. yet he averaged a whopping 21 & 10.

Also had good games from the game log against some of the better teams (26 & 12 against Gonzaga).

Think it also shows how much the game has moved away from the Centre position/big man game..if he was averaging 21 and shooting lights out I'd bet he'd get more attention.

A lot of the big men are not slow lumbers any more, they have speed and agility, not Landale strength.

Nice little audio of him speaking on SEN radio here in Victoria this morning, interrupting the footy talk with some hoops talk, great stuff!

Mentions how he had a good long think and sort others opinions and experience about which path to take, decided to go the Euro route, seems to be a mature decision.
