Jerome Randle in the TBT final

Randle has made a very big impact during this tournament, as did Casper Ware before his team was knocked out towards the end.

For those able to get Foxtel, I suggest that you check out the final on ESPN or online to see how the wee fella does in the final.

It would be really cool if his fine form helped him achieve his NBA dreams (or at least get him into the G-League for a while).

Yeah he played well in the semi today. He's in a good team and they're very well coached. He better not get used to the coaching part

Watched a couple of his games. Dude has been balling out! You can see that he really stands out, and is one of the best players in the tournament. Kudos to him. Hoping he get's a training camp invite (if he there is still time) after the tournament. If not, I'm hoping he brings this form into the NBL season.

Glad to see Randle doing well on a reasonably big stage.

As a sidenote kind of worth mentioning, I recall Chris Vernon (NBA Ringer pod) saying last year that Randle was one of the best college players he'd seen in person and it was a shame he never made it to the NBA.

Randle to the NBA. Please... he's a poor mans Isiah Thomas and you've seen how poor Isiah is being treated lately. Randle doesn't have half the offensive skill Isiah has and he shoots the 3 ball poorly for a PG his size. Defending a safety cone on the perimeter would be a step to far from him, he is so lucky he has Boges in the paint to defend everyone who drives past him.

If he did make it to the NBA it would be on a team like Golden State as the 15th man and he'd get junk minutes at the end of the year when they rest their starters during the last couple of games after solidfying the top seed in the West...

Jerome certainly has NBA-level talent offensively, but unfortunately the market for score-first point guards who are a liability defensively at that level is unfortunately quite low. IT (or at least Celtics version) would be a best-case, but more likely he'd be JJ Barea (and that’s a compliment). The lower roster spots in the NBA are usually better suited to guys who are good defenders, spot-up shooters, or have the potential to do either (or both) of those things (usually athletic specimens), something which Randle never projects to do. Not a knock on his game, just the reality. Plenty of great players in lower levels of basketball (college, high school) never make it in the NBA because they cannot adapt from being the big fish. That’s why you see guys who are clearly lesser than the likes of Randle on NBA benches (just look at the Steve Blake debacle, he was in the NBA so long because he could fulfil a role - spot up for 3s, keep TOs low as a ball handler, and get fed open shots from superior talents).
