IS it just me or are these NBL v College games a bit closer than they should be, considering the college kids are like, 20, and most will never go on to be profiessional basketball players?

I know Sydney played their starters heaps, but united didn't play anyone more than half a game and are without all 3 of their imports (and their coach). Clearly using it as a pre season hit out as well they should. Plus, why would you go out to destroy these college teams? You want them to enjoy the experience and want to come back. They are exhibition games, Sydney went a bit Ivan Drago for mine

At least 50% of D1 basketballers could play in the NBL if they had an Aussie passport. People are really deluding themselves about the strength of the NBL. Any top ten NCAA team would thrash any NBL team save maybe the Kings.

Most NCAA teams are well below NBL standard, that's common sense with juniors playing against men. Only the very best college teams could be competitive in the NBL or other top pro leagues.

They're not exactly juniors. They are 18-24 year olds. Top 25 teams would be competitive, top ten teams would consistently beat NBL sides. Being older only gets you so far when you are less talented and less athletic.

The facts are based on many years NBL teams at full strength are 20-30 pts better than midmajors and 10-15 pts better than high majors. Have always been some upsets here and there. Mid major college teams compete with SEABL teams, high major teams beat SEABL teams.

LOLOLOL hahaha

What a joke. Top ten in the NCAA would get smoked in the NBL. Boys against men

Those 'boys' you’re talking about are often just a year or two away from being drafted to the NBA, which is more than most NBL players can hope for.

Sure, the NBL might rely on its physicality and intimidation, but they’ll rarely match these NBA prospects for skill or athleticism.

About 2% of college athletes make it pro with minimal variance between each sport.
