Keys for the Kings:
1. Get open shots. Kings need more set plays so they are not constantly shooting against the defence. Their current offence just looks like some on ball shuffles, and then relies on individual drive or a shots. More screen and roll with Bogut, Kicket, Wear, Bowen, and Deng, who would be unstoppable after the roll.
2. Bogut, Kicket, Wear and Bowen - need to play in low post, not high post.
3. Bogut needs to defend the 3P line.
4. Do the 1% effort things. eg pick up a player on the rebound, instead of standing around ball watching. With the players the Kings have, there is no reason why United should be able to out rebound them. Movement off the ball when players are driving. Its about setting off ball screens, not just on ball screens.

It will be interesting to see how Bogut responds after being so outplayed by Pledger in the first game.

Gaze surely will be gone once Bogut has had enough of his "coaching".

Watch for the terrible spacing on the handoffs by Sydney clogging the floor. Notice last game all of handoffs ende up being up past the netball line while MU clearly better coached on the concept of spacing .

Sydney cant run anything when Bogut is off the floor.

Trust and Pledger growing on me but Trist ain't no Tai Wesley.

Wear shouldn't survive long beyond this game. I’d much rather Pineau out there hustling than Wear clanging threes, missing box outs, and fouling drivers.

Has anyone got the livestats link? This is unwatchable... First audio was gone for extended period and now it's so blocky, NBL.tv in the old days craps all over it...

Kings looked much better today, looked like Vickerman trying a few different things. Bogut was good, plus 7 and 15p. Newley good, Kickert off the bench better. Bogut, lisch, stay healthy kings will be hard to beat. Good crowd, looked sold out.

Who cares how good they were. United with zero imports.

Kings look good in the 1st quarter, as they instigated some of the pointers above. Otherwise the other quarters dreadful - back to the high post shuffle backdoor rubbish. Melbourne with 3 imports, will demolish them.

If they want any chance at all this season, Bogut and the Kings' bigs need to play in the low post and dominate the paint.

If they are to have any chance at all - aside getting someone who, I dunno, is an actual coach - Wear needs to go. A role playing import isn't going to cut it with an aging, slow ass group with little depth. And they have a real problem at the three because Newley is clearly not what he was and Deng is inexperienced. I suspect, Bogut or not, that this season has disaster written all over it. Unless they rethink things.

Newley still a very good player, had the best plus- minus for the kings over both games, has to do a lot of defending, certainly when playing with the bench.
